**Repertoire courses focus on learning songs and tunes, along with the history and social context of the music. Arrangements are generally presented with a scaffolded approach so that novice to advanced students can all participate.** Join Erin Mae on a bonnie musical voyage through Ireland and Scotland as we delve into popular tunes played in sessions. Learn the basic melody, embellishments to fit the style, and unravel the rich history and origins of each piece. We'll journey through diverse time signatures as we study jigs, reels, marches, polkas, hornpipes, strathspeys, and aires. Techniques will include strum-melody, flat-picking, and a bit of chord work. Pour yeself a wee dram (or a cup of tea) and join us for a rich cultural and melodic experience.
