Service Description

**Chromatic Mountain Dulcimers are fretted entirely in half steps (more like a guitar than a traditional mountain dulcimer). All course materials include tablature numbered diatonically (0, 0+, 1, 1+, etc) and chromatically (0, 1, 2, 3, etc.)** Explore the technique of flat-picking (playing melody on one string at a time) to play fancy Irish and Scottish tunes, fiddle tunes, and even waltzes in any key! With the chromatic mountain dulcimer, it is a breeze to read simple standard notation and play the tunes in their traditional key without re-tuning or using a capo. A pre-requisite knowledge of the name of the notes in DAd tuning will be helpful, but is not required.
