**Repertoire courses focus on learning songs and tunes, along with the history and social context of the music. Arrangements are generally presented with a scaffolded approach so that novice to advanced students can all participate.** Waltzes, Jigs, Reels, Polkas, Strathspeys, Bourrees, Hornpipes, and more... come explore the music that makes us dance from all around the world! Share in Erin Mae’s deep fascination with traditional instrumental folk music and the dances that go with the tunes. As we study the time signatures, accent placement, and movement of the dances, we’ll begin to feel the music come alive. Full of helpful techniques for interpreting the music on the mountain dulcimer, this course will open up a whole new world of music to players of all levels! Capo and/or re-tuning may be required.
