*Chromatic Mountain Dulcimers are fretted entirely in half steps (more like a guitar than a traditional mountain dulcimer). All course materials include tablature numbered diatonically (0, 0+, 1, 1+, etc) and chromatically (0, 1, 2, 3, etc.)** There are some fun holiday tunes that require chromatic melody notes and/or complex chords. There are also lots of fun ways to embellish holiday classics with chromaticism. Learn a new piece each week, and gain confidence in playing your chromatic dulcimer along the way. By practicing these pieces this summer, you’ll be in tip-top shape to share them during the holidays.
