Service Description

**Technique courses focus more on the technical aspects of playing the dulcimer than on the tunes themselves. They are geared toward novice-intermediate students** Discover the high lonesome sound of bluegrass music, and how fun it is to play on mountain dulcimer. We’ll explore ways to play chords with a variety of accompaniment rhythms; add licks, fills, and embellishments; play in a variety of keys; and develop solos using simple improvisation techniques. Using standard bluegrass repertoire, Erin Mae will help you find your place among the banjos, fiddles, mandolins, and guitars. DAd tuning; capo is required.
